Know the Route Before You Grab
Before you touch any egg, locate your personal base pen and map a clear path back to it. The common beginner mistake is sprinting into a nest zone, picking up the biggest egg in sight, and immediately realizing you do not know which way home is.
- Check base boundaries: Look for your numbered pen and safe zone boundary lines.
- Identify sight blockers: Note walls, pillars, and rocks along your return route.
- Start with close nests: Pick nearby common eggs first to practice the physical return trip before targeting rare nests.
Pre-Heist Checklist
- Base location confirmed and path clear
- Nearest corner identified for breaking line-of-sight
- No enemy players camping the entrance
Carry the Egg Home
Picking up an egg immediately attaches it to your character and applies a noticeable carry weight penalty. Your movement speed drops while carrying an egg, meaning guards can easily run you down in a straight sprint across open ground.
Line-of-Sight Break Technique
Guards use line-of-sight detection. If a guard begins chasing you, do not run in an open straight line. Instead, cut sharply around the nearest corner or building. When the guard loses direct visual contact, their pursuit state resets, allowing you to regain ground.
Emergency Drop-and-Reset
If multiple guards or rival players trap you in a choke point, staying committed to carrying the egg guarantees death. Drop the egg to immediately clear the weight penalty and recover your full unencumbered movement speed. Regain distance, wait for guard attention to reset, and re-engage.
Grow the Egg and Place the Baddie
Reaching your base is only half the loop. The egg must be placed into your pen slots to begin the growth and hatching countdown:
Physical Egg in Hand ──► Base Pen Incubator ──► Countdown Timer ──► Placed Earning Baddie
- Step onto your base pen pad and interact to place the egg.
- Wait for the incubation timer to complete.
- Once hatched, claim and place your Baddie onto a display stand.
Unplaced Baddies in your inventory do not produce income. They must be physically mounted on a pen stand to generate currency.
Check That Your Baddie Is Earning
Once your Baddie is placed, watch your HUD Cash counter:
| What You See | What It Means | Next Action |
|---|---|---|
| +$X / sec ticking | Baddie is active and producing passive Cash | Leave it running and save for training |
| No Cash movement | Stand is unassigned or pen is empty | Re-open your pen UI and confirm placement |
| Low starter Cash | Common Baddie provides baseline income | Upgrade your speed to steal rarer eggs |
Your passive Cash per second ($/s) is the lifeblood of your progression. It funds all future treadmill sessions.
Train, Then Try Again
With active Cash flowing, step onto your base treadmill. Treadmills convert your time and Cash into permanent Speed attribute points.
Higher Speed reduces your vulnerability to guard chases, lets you escape contested nests faster, and unlocks deeper map zones with higher-earning Baddies. Train until your speed feels comfortable, then venture out for your next heist.
